Jeff began his career at two public relations agencies specializing in the high tech sector. While there, he helped Canadian and U.S. tech startups with writing support, media relations, news releases, industry analyst tours and overall communications planning.

Working in three of Canada’s major “tech hubs,” Jeff was able to understand his client’s unique needs, while also helping them to gain exposure in new markets, such as the U.S. and Europe.

Jeff later joined a major telecommunications company that had expanded into Western Canada and managed external communications including brand awareness, media relations, issues management and executive visibility programs. In 2010, he took a contract position with the same telco to manage communications and marketing planning for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Jeff has long had a passion for technology, research and innovation, which has been a continuing theme throughout his career progression in professional communications.
